OUR SERVICES
Parcel/package under 30kg
In Skinnytrans’ categories small parcel means every parcel under 20kg and between 20 and 30kg. The parcel can be from an envelope to 120l any size. The price is standard regardless of size: €40 under 20kg and €55 between 20 and 30kg. Until the sender’s packages do not reach the weight of 20 or 30kg the packages can be multiple separate units. For this reason we strongly advise to our customers to pack their separate units into one box. Read our recommendations at our Advices webpage, how to avoid common problems on packaging and sealing. Hint: it is worth reach close to the 20 or 30kg limit packing as much as possible in a single box.
Large parcels and furnitures
In Skinnytrans’ categories every parcel above 30kg considered a large parcel. The maximum size of big parcels can be any which fits in our van. Ovens, washing machines, driers and other household appliances belong to this category (although some of these have their own standard price, see Prices). We charge some cost by weight, which is between 30 and 500kg is €1.80/kg, and above 500kg is €1.60/kg. For furnitures we charge €150/m3(the price can change depending on the shape and volume of the furniture). Furnitures can be delivered easiest disassembled, but Skinnytrans will take furnitures, if this is not an option. We charge tailored prices in these cases. Furnitures need to be covered with protection to avoid unnecessary damage. If you wish to order large parcel or furniture click here.
Hint: When deliver furnitures, it is recommended to fill internal cavities (drawers, shelves inside a wardrobe etc.) with lighter items, which can’t be damaged easily (eg. clothing, kitchen utensils, etc.).
Motorcycles and bicycles
Though motorcycles and bycicles seem like a no brainer, there are vast differences between different sized motorbikes. Our prices divided by the categories of 50cm3, 125cm3 and 1000cm3. Hint: it is recommended to pack and secure the moving parts, so lower the risk of damage not only the bike, but the surrounding cargo as well.
Pets
Skinnytrans started out as a professional dog delivery company, and pets delivery is right up in our alley. Our boxes in addition to equipped in-built ventillation system, all fulfill DEFRA standards, and our drivers are trained to take care of your animals at all times, so your pet won’t be in neccessity of anything. Your animal have to have proper documentation (pet passport, medical papers) and it has to go through the standard procedures (worming, proper physical condition for travel, minimum age). Hint: if your pet has a favourite toy, please provide it, it can help a lot to relieve the stress of the travel.
Food
Skinnytrans travels to Hungary at least once a month. You can use this fact to bring your favourite tastes from Hungary over and over again. Up to 15kg our standard price is €40, Over 15kg €2.5 per kg. Fast, comfortable and you pay Hungarian prices for Hungarian food. For more information and order please click here.
Hint: We are unable to deliver alcohol and tobacco, if they are included in the order list we simply ignore them.
